White House at Night

Kitt Noir

White House at Night was completed by Vincent Van Gogh in 1890 at Auvers-sur-Oise in France. It was painted in oil and is from the Post-Impressionism genre. You can view it at the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia. I find this painting intriguing and always wonder who lives in the white house and why it has some many visitors. Has the lady in black just visited too?
